Terms & Conditions
For Polity+, our media and polity services, and this website.
Last updated: 6 November 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Polity+ app and website, this website, and our media and polity services (together, the "Service"), operated by Median Polity Solutions, a sole proprietorship owned by Akash Daunde, with its place of business at At Post Somthane Nalwade Bk, Tal. Pathardi, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra 414102, India ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What Polity+ is
Polity+ is a software platform that helps village and taluka-level leaders and citizens organize local administration — voter records, government scheme outreach, issue reporting, and elected-representative work. Polity+ is a private software tool, not a government authority. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any Gram Panchayat, State Government, the Election Commission of India, or any other government body, and nothing in the Service should be understood as an official government action, record, or communication.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be an adult resident of India to create an account. Polity+ is not intended for children.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account (including your phone-based sign-in) secure.
- Leadership-tier roles (Sarpanch, Deputy Sarpanch, Ward Member, Activist, Block/Taluka Leader) are self-requested and start with a 14-day free trial (see Section 4), or, in support cases, are approved manually.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your role or authority;
- Enter false, defamatory, or unlawful information about any person;
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate any person;
- Engage in bribery, voter inducement, coercion, or any unlawful attempt to influence an election, or make any caste- or religion-based appeal prohibited under Indian election law;
- Attempt to access data, villages, or accounts you are not authorized to access, or attempt to bypass or defeat the app's access controls;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's normal operation;
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Where a proposed use of the Service raises a real question about its lawfulness (particularly around election-related features), we recommend seeking your own legal advice — using the Service does not itself make any particular use lawful.
4. Free trial, plans, payment, delivery, renewal and refunds
Citizen accounts are free. A Leadership or Block/Taluka Leadership account starts with a 14-day free trial, started in the Polity+ Android app or web app, once per person. You are not charged during the trial, and no payment details are needed to start it.
| Plan | Covers | Price and period |
|---|---|---|
| Leadership | Sarpanch, Deputy Sarpanch, Ward Member, Activist (1 village) | ₹1,499 per year. One payment covers 1 year; it does not renew automatically. |
| Block Leadership 15 | Block / Taluka leaders (up to 15 villages) | ₹10,000 per year. One payment covers 1 year; it does not renew automatically. |
| Block Leadership 30 | Block / Taluka leaders (up to 30 villages) | ₹10,000 for 6 months (₹20,000 for a full year). One payment covers 6 months; it does not renew automatically. |
These are final prices. Nothing is added to them at checkout. We may change prices for future periods with reasonable notice; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Payment
Plans are paid online through Razorpay, a payment gateway, using the methods Razorpay offers (such as UPI, cards and net banking). We never see or store your full card, UPI, or bank details. When you pay, you must give a working email address and the phone number of the Polity+ account the plan is for.
Delivery and the Android app
Within 24 hours of a successful payment, we switch on your plan for the phone number you gave at payment and confirm by email. Full details are in our Delivery Policy. The Polity+ Android app is a free download from the Download page of this website; it is licensed to you for your own use, and you install it on your own device at your own choice. Download it only from this website. The Android app is not currently distributed through Google Play.
No automatic renewal
Plans do not renew automatically, and we never charge you without you making the payment yourself. One payment covers one period: one year, or six months for Block Leadership 30. We will remind you about 7 days before your period ends. To continue, pay again for the next period. After a period ends, you have a grace period of 14 days with full access to pay; after that, leadership-tier access is paused until you pay.
Cancellation
Because plans don't renew automatically, you don't need to cancel anything to stop paying: simply don't pay for the next period. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If you want to cancel a payment you have already made and ask for a refund, the rules in our Refund & Cancellation Policy apply.
Refunds
If you ask within 7 days of a payment and have not used the paid features since that payment, we refund it in full. Billing errors (for example, being charged twice or the wrong amount) are always refunded in full, and so is any payment we cannot deliver. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, no plan is bought. Any amount debited for a failed payment is returned to you by your bank or Razorpay, usually within 5 to 7 working days.
What happens when a trial ends or a plan lapses
If your paid period and grace period run out, or a trial ends without a paid plan, we mark the account as expired and restrict its leadership-tier access. We do not delete any village, family, issue, or other record data of a paid account as a result — that data is preserved so access can be restored the moment you pay. A free-trial account that is never converted to a paid plan is deleted 90 days after the trial ends, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Moving from Block Leadership 30 to Block Leadership 15
If you buy Block Leadership 15 after Block Leadership 30 while managing more than 15 villages, existing villages and their data are kept — we don't delete anything — but you won't be able to add further villages beyond your new plan's limit until you're back within it.
5. Media and Polity services
This section applies when you hire us for a media or polity service, such as PR, a press conference, a short film, digital marketing, a survey, brand building or training ("custom work").
- Quote and scope. Before work starts, we send a written quote that sets out the work, the timeline, the price and the payment schedule. Work begins when you accept the quote and pay the advance stated in it. Anything not in the quote is extra work and is quoted separately.
- Price and payment. The price in the quote is final; nothing is added to it at payment. Costs paid to others for your project, such as venue hire, printing, travel or advertising spend, are shown separately in the quote or paid by you directly. Payment is online through Razorpay or by bank transfer.
- Your part. You give us accurate information, timely approvals, and only material (photos, logos, footage, text) that you have the right to use. Delays in approvals or material can move the timeline.
- Changes. The quote states how many rounds of changes are included. Further changes may be quoted separately.
- Use of the finished work. Once you have paid in full, you may use the final work for the purposes agreed in the quote. Unless the quote says otherwise, raw footage and working files stay with us. We show your work to others only with your written permission.
- Lawful and ethical work only. We do not create content that is false, defamatory or hateful, or that breaks Indian law or our ethics, and we may stop work if asked to do so. You are responsible for the claims you ask us to publish about yourself or your organisation.
- No guaranteed results. We do not guarantee news coverage, views, followers, survey outcomes, or any public or political result.
- Cancellation and refunds for custom work are explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and delivery in our Delivery Policy.
6. Your content
You're responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of any information you enter into the Service — voter records, issue reports, photos, notes, or anything else. We don't independently verify most user-entered information before it's saved. If you believe content in the Service about you or someone else is inaccurate or unlawful, contact us (Section 13) and we'll look into it.
7. Our intellectual property
The Polity+ name, logo, software, and the design of the app itself belong to us. Using the Service doesn't give you any ownership or license over them beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended. The general idea of a civic-governance app is not something anyone can own — this section protects our specific brand, software, and design, not the underlying concept.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on Google Firebase (for data storage and hosting) and Razorpay (for payments). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' own applicable terms.
9. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep the Service reliably available but don't promise uninterrupted or error-free operation — maintenance, outages, or issues with third-party services can affect availability from time to time. We may add, change, or remove features as the Service evolves; where a change would materially reduce what a paid plan includes, we'll give reasonable notice.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates Section 3 (Acceptable use) or that we reasonably believe poses a security or legal risk to the Service or its users. Where practical, we'll tell you why. Terminating an account doesn't automatically delete data we're required to keep for legal, security, or accounting reasons (see our Privacy Policy).
11. No guarantees about outcomes
Polity+ is a record-keeping and organizing tool. We don't guarantee any political, electoral, or administrative outcome, and nothing in the Service should be read as a promise of election results, government approval, or guaranteed resolution of any issue reported through it.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or for the accuracy of user-entered content, third-party service outages, or unauthorized access resulting from your own failure to keep your account secure. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under Indian law.
13. Grievances, disputes, and contact
Questions about these Terms, a plan, or a complaint about the Service can be sent to our Grievance Officer:
Akash Daunde, Grievance Officer, Median Polity Solutions
Email: medianpolitysolutions@gmail.com
Address: At Post Somthane Nalwade Bk, Tal. Pathardi, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra 414102
We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
14. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms, the "last updated" date above will be revised, and for material changes affecting an active paid plan, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you before they take effect.
